The door entry at Wessex Court has been updated with a new integrated fob and code reader and residents may access the building by offering their fob to the reader as before.
The communal lighting system is being upgraded as lights fail. These are being replaced by motion activated LED sensor lights that are combined with an emergency light function. The new lights are brighter,more energy efficient and require less maintenance than the previous light fittings.
A new fire door has been installed at the end of the first floor corridor to protect the central fire exit route through the building. Various other fire blocking works have been undertaken throughout the building including sealing holes and fitting intumescent strips to doors.
FSM have installed a new, steel security door to the rear of the building to replace the previous door which was unsecure. Access to the building is by a proximity fob.
